Timothy and Divine Liberek

Serving Beligium

Timothy was born in a Christian family. His father (Daniel) is a missionary/pastor/evangelist with United World Mission. His mother (Myriam) has a strong sense of calling to social ministries, mentoring, and evangelism. His grandparents (Samuel and Denise) were also missionaries with United World Mission. His granddad served as a pastor and an evangelist for many years.

In 2017, Timothy was appointed by Mesa Global (then United World Mission) for service in Belgium. After completing his Bible school practicum with the church pastored by my father, he started serving there as a youth pastor. He continued as assistant pastor and was ordained as a pastor on June 27, 2021. Though this was not in his plans or in his father’s plans, the board of Elders called Timothy to assume the succession of his father, who had announced that he would step down as Senior Pastor on June 30, 2024.

At present, Timothy is serving as Senior Pastor of the Evangelical Protestant Church of Huy, Belgium. Divine, his wife is a member of the worship team, heads the team of volunteers who clean the church, teaches in the children’s church, and takes part in the outreach initiatives launched by Kids and Joy. At present, Timothy and Divine are focusing on training the next generation of leaders and on strengthening couples while keeping a strong focus on evangelism. Together, they are raising the three children that God has entrusted to them (Yaël – 5, Joas – 3, and Anna – 1).

Timothy is also involved in several mentoring and discipling initiatives. One program, CFB (Cycle de Formation Biblique / Cycle of Biblical Training) offers basic biblical and theological education through a three-year curriculum for young people between the ages of 16 and 35. They have had close to 80 excited young people attending these week-long training sessions. They are looking at starting something similar for church elders and youth leaders. Timothy also appreciates being involved in evangelism, be it in Belgium or in Rwanda, where his church has already sent two teams and is planning on sending another in 2026.
